HAITI READ-A-THON WRAP-UP AND CELEBRATION THIS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 13 Please remember that we will be celebrating the accomplishments of our 2015 Read-a-thon readers after the 10 am service at coffee hour. We will start gathering at 11:30 am. The ceremony and awarding of certificates will be at 11:45 am. Readers: please collect donations from your sponsors, provide them with receipt, and bring the donations to the celebration (or turn in ahead of time at the church).
SUNDAY SCHOOL RESUMES THIS WEEKEND! Kids ages 4-12 are welcome to join the Sunday school group downstairs for the first half of the 10 am service. Older kids who would like to help can also attend. The kids will be doing an eight-week unit on the creation story in Genesis with an emphasis on stewardship of God's earth.
STEWARDSHIP GROUP MEETS THIS SUNDAY Our season for financial stewardship at St. Nick's is coming up, and the Stewardship committee is now forming. If you would like to participate, please meet upstairs immediately following the 10 am service this Sunday, Sept. 13 to learn what it's all about. We could use your help!

The annual silent auction is an important fundraiser for our church, and a great time - plus we have some wonderful items - see below ...
SILENT AUCTION ITEMS INCLUDE hair salon certificates, bottini fuel oil, pottery, car detailing, knitted blankets, car detailing, concert tickets, wine, certificates to local restaurants, a tattoo, kids' baskets, nesting dolls, prints by a local artist - lots of great stuff, more of which will be named at the service on Sunday. Don't miss it!!
OUTREACH COMMITTEE MEETING SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27 The outreach committee meets every month after the 10 am service to discuss and organize ways we can help in our community. If you have ideas for the committee or would like to join, please drop in on the 27th! All are welcome.
