THIS SUNDAY AT ST. NICK'S
The Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost
October 28, 2018
Services are at 9am & 10am
LAST CHANCE TO SIGN-UP:
Tomorrow Sat., Oct. 27, St. Nick's is sending a team out into the community to do minor home repairs for Mrs. Cooper who is aging in place. In addition to the home work crew, we need volunteers to help with food. This is your last chance to sign up! Contact Deb Evans at [email protected]. This opportunity is for folks aged 16-years-old and up; those under 18 need a parent on site with them for the duration of the workday.
2019 STEWARDSHIP Thank you to all those who have already returned their pledge cards. If you have not yet returned your card, keep in mind that there will be a pledge card blessing on November 4th during the 10am service, so that would be a great time to bring them to church. To date, we have 23 pledges totaling $77,708 of the $140,000 we need. Look for pledge packets and speakers this month.
STEWARDSHIP SPEAKERS This Sunday we will hear from Alex Reese about why he gives to St. Nick's. Thank you to all of our speakers this year: Peggy Ellis, Edie Palm, Paul Bruening and Alex Reese.
ALL SAINTS’ DAY is on November 4. Be sure to jot down the names of your loved ones so they can be read aloud at the 10am service on this day. Sign-up sheet can be found in the narthex.
GET YOUR RECIPES READY!
St. Nick’s Church Fair and Chili Cook-off, November 17 from 9a-4p. To donate baked goods for the bake sale or enter a chili into the cook-off sign-up HERE or on the sheet located in the narthex.
SUNDAY SCHOOL Sunday School is for kids ages 4-12 and takes place in the undercroft during the first half of the 10am service. If you would like to receive our weekly email with children's news, please contact Jennifer Klein at [email protected]
PERSONAL CARE PANTRY St. Nicks is signed up for a special effort to help supply Love INC's personal care pantry. Please bring something in for our neighbors struggling to supply their families with non-food items.
AA GROUP MEETINGS Are held in St. Nick's undercroft every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7:30pm.
COFFEE HOUR is a great time for fellowship! Thinking about hosting? The sign-up sheet is HERE, there are always slots available so please consider signing up. We like to keep it simple so Munchkins, cheese and crackers, or even some veggies would do. 😊
