THIS SUNDAY AT ST. NICK'S
TWENTY THIRD SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
October 23, 2016
Services are at 9am & 10am
STEWARDSHIP 2016-17
During October we ask ourselves to provide the resources to sustain St. Nick’s for another year. We call this “annual stewardship” because we regard ourselves as caretakers of this parish we call our spiritual home. Though we give to help cover the costs of maintaining the church, it is primarily out of gratitude that we pledge our resources to this place. We are thankful that it came into our lives in the first place, that it continues to feed our spirits, that it educates our children in the knowledge and faith of Jesus Christ, that it offers us close companionship, and that it provides us opportunities to worship God, grow in our faith, and reach out to others.
So this month we consider our role in helping support the ongoing financial demands on the parish. After prayerful consideration, we pledge an amount that we feel significantly reflects our gratitude for the existence and ministries of the parish.
The Stewardship Committee: Paul Curran, Greg Freeman, Melanie Hexel, Polly Myhrum, and The Rev. Peter Sipple
