THIS SUNDAY AT ST. NICK'S
Twenty Sixth Sunday after Pentecost and Holy Baptism

Today, Veteran's Day, provides us an opportunity to recognize the contributions and sacrifices of those who have served our country. Thank you for your service.  
                                                             

BAPTISMS THIS SUNDAY Congratulations to Kaylee Marie Castro and Jack Landon Roe who will be baptized at this Sunday's 10am service.

ALTAR FLOWERS The alter flower this Sunday have been given in memory of Edward Haubrich.

RAMP IS COMPLETED!! The new access ramp in front of our church building is now complete with the installation this week of it's railing. This addition, made possible by the Capital Campaign will serve us well in the years ahead.

PLEDGES 2017 Thank you to all who have sent in your pledges for 2017! If you have not yet made a pledge to St. Nick's you can still drop it the plate on Sunday or send it in the mail anytime during the month. Anyone who did not receive a directory and would like one please contact Dana in the office for more information.

ST. NICK'S CHURCH FAIR & CHILI LUNCH is next Saturday, November 19th, from 10am to 3pm. We are still looking for volunteers to bring baked goods and help with clean-up. If you can help out please sign-up on the clip board in the back of the church or see Mary Hornbeck. Trash-and-Treasure donations can be dropped in the pews anytime after the November 13th (this Sunday) services thru Friday November 18. Remember that item should fit into a grocery bag. No stuffed animals or clothing please.

ZION FOOD PANTRY has begun collecting donations for the annual "Thanksgiving Baskets" to help local families in need for the holiday. Please see the sign-up sheet on the downstairs bulletin board for items that can be donated.

ATTENTION CHILDREN OF ST. NICK'S!! We will be offering Acolyte Training for all children in grade 4 and up on November 20th after the 10am service. This is a wonderful way for the kids at St. Nick's to help lead worship on Sundays.

COMING SOON.. FEAST OF ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA will be on December 4th at the 10am service. Mark you calendars, you don't want to miss this special event in our church year

IN THE AREA EVENTS:

November 13th at 10:00am: 250th Celebration Service w/ special music. The Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church of America will celebrate at the Eucharist service.

November 19 at 4:30pm at Christ Church: Exultant Harmony - Cappella Festiva Treble Choir concert of music by Bob Chilcott, Dollo Dilworth, Andrea Ramsey and others. Tickets at the door.

SEARCH COMMITTEE The diocese has approved St. Nick's application to officially begin our search for a new Rector. Our Parish Profile has been posted on the parish website HERE. We also have a few printed copies around the church. The Search Committee will review all applications received between now and December 5 and then start evaluations. Many thanks to Serena Starzyk for coordinating the preparation of the profile and to the many parishioners who contributed to the effort.

 If you have concern for yourself, a family member or friend, please contact the Interim Pastor, The Rev. Peter Sipple at (534 2864) or email sipplemp@gmail.com. During the interim period, five members of the parish will serve as pastoral liaisons between members of the parish and the interim pastor. You may wish to speak with one of them as well. They are, Liz Pavelka (297 4907), Polly Myhrum (297 5681), Rachel VanDerStuyf (896 2137), Melanie Hexel (297 3114), or Paul Curran (914 844 0894).

COFFEE HOUR We always have slots open for those who would like to host. It can be simple: donuts, carrot sticks, crackers and cheese - whatever you can pick up at the store. The coffee is already made for you by the altar guild. Click HERE for instructions and ideas, and to sign up. Thank you!
