THIS SUNDAY AT ST. NICK'S
Seventh Sunday of Easter
May 28, 2017
Services are at 9 & 10am
Officiant: The Rev. Janet Vincent
ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE is this Sunday, following the 10am service at the New Hamburg Yacht Club. This is a moving way to honor the day. Prayers will be said by the Rev. Fredrik Jackson.
A NOTE FROM THE INTERIM...
To the members of St. Nick’s parish:
Thank you for the warmth and hospitality you extended to me over the past nine months. I greatly enjoyed serving as your interim priest. The people of St. Nick’s convey both friendliness and a deep commitment to the welfare of the parish community. You are most fortunate to have one another’s support in a way that gives real meaning to the phrase “parish family.” I was blessed to have been received into that family and I feel certain that your new Rector, the Rev. Leigh Hall, will experience that same blessing—in fact, no doubt she already has! You at St. Nick’s will remain in my prayers as you enter upon a new ministry and continue to share the joys and responsibilities of God’s Kingdom. -Peter Sipple
NEW VESTRY MEMBERS Thank you and farewell to three of the Vestry members that have completed their terms after the election of our new rector. We have since elected three new members whom will serve on the Vestry for terms that will conclude in 2020. The new members are Christine Ackerly, Jack Parry & Debra Evans. Thank you all for agreeing to serve in this important ministry.
PRAYERS FOR THE RECTOR ELECT Prayers are a good idea for our Rector elect and her former community. Leigh is currently in the midst of moving out of her home in Albany, Georgia while under some severe weather including tornado watches. We wish her a safe trip in the coming days and look forward to welcoming her next weekend.

ALL are invited to celebrate our desire to answer the Lord's prayer for his followers, "that they may all be one" (John 17:21)
