THIS SUNDAY AT ST. NICK'S
The Second Sunday after Pentecost
Services are at 9am & 10am
June 3, 2018
HELLO PARISHIONERS - This Sunday is the Summer Read-a-thon kick-off! The Read-a-thon supports the ministry of the Friends of Darbonne by providing scholarships to children attending the St. Esprit school in Darbonne, Haiti. Please plan to join us at the kick-off where you will be able to find a child to sponsor and enjoy a Haitian themed coffee hour hosted by our Outreach Committee.
ALTAR FLOWERS THIS SUNDAY
Have been donated by Mtr. Leigh in thanksgiving for her life and ministry in New York.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE
NEW HAMBURG TAG SALE, JUNE 9th
The Outreach Committee is still seeking volunteers to help out at the New Hamburg Tag Sale on June 9th:
LAST DAY OF SUNDAY SCHOOL & TEACHER APPRECIATION will be next Sunday, June 10th. We will take this time to thank Jennifer Klein and all of our dedicated Sunday School teachers for another great year and celebrate with a special coffee hour hosted by our Vestry.
HELP MTR. LEIGH DISTRIBUTE VBS FLYERS THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday, following coffee hour (and if the weather holds), please plan to help Mtr. Leigh distribute VBS flyers around the hamlet and in the neighborhood adjacent to Jay’s Deli. The flyers get sandwiched between the flag and the box, which we’re told does not violate USPS postal rules. Even just a half hour of your time helps a lot. Thank you for considering this!
VBS2018!! This year's Vacation Bible School, "Camp Moose on the Loose," will be held the last week in June: Monday through Friday, June 25-29. This year, we will combine with the VBS at Zion Church. Registration forms are available in the narthex
CHURCH FAIR ANNOUNCEMENT The St. Nick’s Church Fair, which has been masterfully led by Mary Hornbeck for many years, will be re-imagined in 2018. We are so grateful for Mary’s leadership but understand that everyone needs a break sometime. She is handing over the reins to new leadership for the event with her blessing. Mtr. Leigh needs help from the parish to make this event work. If you’d be interested in being a part of the re-visioning process, please let us know.
AA GROUP MEETINGS Are held in St. Nick's undercroft every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7:30pm.
COFFEE HOUR is a great time for fellowship! Thinking about hosting? The sign-up sheet is HERE, there are always slots available so please consider signing up. We like to keep it simple so Munchkins, cheese and crackers, or even some veggies would do. 😊
