It's time for VBS 2018!!! Join us us this week June 25th - 29th, 9am-12pm at Zion Church for kids ages 4-12. If you did not get a chance to register and know someone that would like to participate you can meet Mtr. Leigh at Zion Church tomorrow morning at 9am. To wrap up a fun week of VBS, Zion will be having a Potluck supper and open house on Friday evening at 6pm.
VERY EXCITING BREAKING NEWS!!
We have a construction start date:
Wednesday, June 27th
This means we need to clean out the undercroft in a hurry. Team captains have been identified and should clean their areas between now and Monday the 25th. On Monday at 7pm, we need help moving boxes to the Sayago's garage.
All help is welcomed and encouraged.
WHERE'S OL’ FLAT NICK?
We still have some St. Nicholas cutouts for you to take on your travels. Just pack Ol' Flat Nick in your suitcase and take a picture with him at the beach, at the campground, in the mountains, wherever! Then, send us your photo and upload to social media using #olflatnick You will also find pics of where Ol' Flat Nick has been in our weekly newsletter. Check him out here on the Big U (the S.S. United States) at its dock in Philadelphia.
ZION FOOD PANTRY Help your neighbor in need! It’s as easy as buying an extra box of cereal, peanut butter etc. while your already at the store. You can bring your donations anytime during the week or to church with you on Sunday. For a more detailed list of items please see the special insert.
THE FRIENDS OF DARBONNE READ-A-THON
Read-A-Thon is underway. This summer we will be reading to support school children in Darbonne, Haiti. Adults you can too! For more info on this outreach project please see Deb Evans or Joan Freeman. Let's get reading!
CHURCH FAIR ANNOUNCEMENT Eileen Doherty has decided to take the lead for the 2018 St. Nick's Church Fair which will be on November 17th. Thank you Eileen! More to come on this in the Fall.
PASTORAL NOTE: We are sad to note the passing of Theresa Simone's mother, Eleanor. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29th at 10am at St. John's Catholic Church Pawling.
AA GROUP MEETINGS Are held in St. Nick's undercroft every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7:30pm.
COFFEE HOUR is a great time for fellowship! Thinking about hosting? The sign-up sheet is HERE, there are always slots available so please consider signing up. We like to keep it simple so Munchkins, cheese and crackers, or even some veggies would do. 😊
