THIS SUNDAY AT ST. NICK'S
Trinity Sunday
June 16, 2019
Services are at 9am & 10am

HELLO PARISHIONERS - This Saturday, June 15th, St. Nick's and Zion are teaming up for a Safe Church Training from 9:30am to 3pm, with Mtr. Leigh and Mtr. Mag as co-facilitators (lunch will be provided). All Sunday School teachers and Vestry members, as well as any others who wish to attend should RSVP by emailing the church office: stnicholasnewhamburg@gmail.com
We hope to see some familiar faces :)

SUMMER READ-A-THON
If you missed Mtr. Leigh's 6/2 sermon about the Summer Read-a-thon, never fear - you can still participate. We invite adults and children to start reading this Summer to benefit Friends of Darbonne. Our goal as a church is to raise $1500, which will sponsor 5 children for one year as their tuition to the Holy Spirit School. It's easy to do! Grab a yellow brochure and start reading. Track the books you read, and designate a dollor amount for each book or 50 page increment. Adults can sponsor themselves. Children should ask most any adult in the paricsh to be their sponsor. More information is in the yellow brochure. Many thanks to our Outreach Committee for their help in organizing the Read-a-thon year after year.

The Return of Ol' Flat Nick
Summer is almost here, and with it comes fun, sun, and travel with Ol' Flat Nick. We would like everyone to get a chance to join in the fun, so anyone who still has an Ol' Flat Nick cut out hangin' around, please make sure to bring him back to the church to share with others.

HOW DOES IT WORK? Just pack Ol' Flat Nick in your suitcase and take a picture with him at the beach, at the campground, in the mountains, wherever! Then, send us your photo so we can post it in our newsletter and keep up with you. Or upload to your own social media platforms with the hashtag #olflatnick. We can't wait to see where our patron lands this summer!

SAVE THE DATE: VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Mark your calendars parents! This Summer we will be joining the VBS at Zion Church, August 5th - August 9th. Adult and teenaged volunteers needed.

SUMMER PLANS AND FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS TO ST. NICK'S
As you begin to make your summer travel plans, we ask you to be faithful to your financial commitments to St. Nick's, especially as attendance fluctuates significantly during the summer months. We are grateful for your continued support of our parish and look forward to seeing you when you are here.

SIGN UP FOR ALTAR FLOWERS ANY SUNDAY Did you know you can sign up to have the altar guild buy flowers in memory of or in thanksgiving for a loved one? Just sign up on the poster on the Sacristy door and we will make sure your memorial or thanksgiving is observed on the appropriate day. Suggested donation is $25, to be put in the plate (memo line “flower memorial/thanksgiving”).

COFFEE HOUR is a great time for fellowship! The sign-up sheet is HERE, there are always slots available so please consider signing up. We like to keep it simple so Munchkins, cheese and crackers, or even some veggies will do.

AA GROUP MEETINGS Are held in St. Nick's undercroft every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7:30pm.

ONLINE STEWARDSHIP DIRECTORY Click here for the online version of the directory.

NURSERY AVAILABLE DURING 10AM SERVICE Nursery care is available to our church family. Our nursery worker, Kim Steuber, will be downstairs at 9:30a in our "pop up" nursery for care during the 10am service.

SUNDAY PARTICIPANTS The Summer ROTA is now available. Find it on the downstairs bulletin board, our weekly email HERE and on our website. If you would like to sign-up to be a participant, please contact Dana in the office at stnicholasnewhamburg@gmail.com.
