CALLING ALL NEWCOMERS! If you are new to St. Nick's and interested in learning more about our tradition, please contact Mo. Storm. She is presently organizing a class. And note: those who just want a refresher course on the tradition are welcome to participate, too!
THIS SUNDAY JANUARY 17 - ECUMENICAL MARTIN LUTHER KING JR SERVICE AT BETHEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH IN WAPPINGERSCome celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, and also the efforts in our own community to carry on his legacy of racial justice and equality for all people. This is a longstanding and meaningful tradition in our community, and well worth the time.
ANNUAL MEETING IS IN TWO WEEKS - POTLUCK SIGN UP HERE Our annual meeting is Sunday January 31, and you can sign up for the pot luck at the link above. Please plan to attend! Everyone is welcome, new folks especially! This is a great way to learn about our parish - how we operate, what happens "behind the scenes," who our vestry members are, and lots more!
SUNDAY SCHOOL Sunday school is for kids ages 4-12, nursery for little ones 0-3. For more information about our kids' programs, you can sign up to receive the weekly Sunday school email on Thursdays. Just email Dana and she'll add you to the list: [email protected].
OPTIONS FOR PAYING YOUR PLEDGE PAPERLESS - AND EFFORTLESS!
If you would like to automate your pledge payments, which helps us maintain cash flow (and helps you avoid paper and hassle!), you can do that one of two ways: through the diocesan service, or by setting it up with your own bank. If you would like to know more about the diocesan auto-pay service (it's free - lots of other parishioners are using it!), then contact Dana and she'll send you the information. You can also read about it here.
THURSDAY LUNCHTIME BIBLE STUDY ON SUNDAY'S READINGS
Drop in when you can at noon every Thursday for a short service of noonday prayer followed by 45 minutes of Bible study and discussion on the texts for the coming Sunday! This is a totally casual, no pressure, come-as-you-can sort of thing. Hope to see you there! Runs noon-1 pm.
