Third Sunday after the Epiphany

ANNUAL MEETING 2017 This years Annual Meeting and Parish Potluck will be next Sunday, January 29 at the New Hamburg Yacht Club following the 10am service. There will be important discussions of parish business, 2017 budget, Capital Campaign updates, Outreach goals and other important matters relative to parish life. Those who would like to make a dish can sign-up HERE or on the sheets available in the back of the church and also on the bulletin board downstairs. Hope to see you all there!
  
2016 PLEDGE STATEMENTS Pledge statements went out today and should be in your in-boxes. Anyone who need theirs sent via snail-mail can contact Dana in the office.

ALTAR FLOWERS This Sunday's altar flowers have been given in loving memory of Al Blodgett.

SAVE THE DATE: ANNUAL COOKIE WALK This years cookie walk is on Saturday, February 11 from 9-2 at the Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church. Bakers and buyers are needed. Sign-up to make cookies is on January 29 and February 5.

PERSONAL CARE PANTRY needs help stocking their shelves for families in need. The items needed for January and February are: Paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, laundry detergent and dish washing liquid. Linens Ministry could use gently used blankets and new pillows. Furniture Ministry needs able bodied volunteers to help with pick-up and delivery. Please see Liz P. or Eileen D. for more info.

NURSERY CARE The vestry has voted to suspend nursery care for the time being because of the lack in attendance. 

SUNDAY SCHOOL for kids ages 4-12 is available at the 10am service. Parents check out the weekly Parent/Teacher email for more information about what the children will be learning about. If you are not subscribed to this email but would like to be you can contact Dana in the office to be added to the list.

COFFEE HOUR Volunteers needed!! We always have slots open for those who would like to host. It can be simple: donuts, carrot sticks, crackers and cheese - whatever you can pick up at the store. SEARCH COMMITTEE The diocese has approved St. Nick's application to officially begin our search for a new Rector. Our Parish Profile has been posted on the parish website HERE. We also have a few printed copies around the church. The Search Committee will review all applications received between now and December 5 and then start evaluations. Many thanks to Serena Starzyk for coordinating the preparation of the profile and to the many parishioners who contributed to the effort.  

PASTORAL MINISTRY If you have concern for yourself, a family member or friend, please contact the Interim Pastor, The Rev. Peter Sipple at (534 2864) or email sipplemp@gmail.com. During the interim period, five members of the parish will serve as pastoral liaisons between members of the parish and the interim pastor. You may wish to speak with one of them as well. They are, Liz Pavelka (297 4907), Polly Myhrum (297 5681), Rachel VanDerStuyf (896 2137), Melanie Hexel (297 3114), or Paul Curran (914 844 0894).
