HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SCHEDULE Planning ahead? Holy Week begin in just a few weeks. Here are some dates to put in your calendar: Palm Sunday March 20, 9 & 10 am - Maundy Thursday March 24, 7 pm - Good Friday Children's Service March 25, 10 am - Good Friday regular service March 25, 7 pm - Easter Vigil March 26, 8 pm - Easter Sunday March 27, 9 & 10 am
LOOKING AHEAD: CHILDREN'S GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE Our annual children's Good Friday service takes place at 10 am on March 25. Save the date and invite friends! This is an interactive, kid-friendly way for kids to observe and understand the last week of Jesus' life. This year's service will be led jointly by Astrid and the Sunday school teachers, parents, and other members of the congregation.
ALTAR GUILD MEETING tomorrow Saturday February 27 at 9:00am. Interested in learning about altar guild and/or just helping them out during Holy Week and Easter? There are a lot of ways to be useful: polishing, setting up flowers, helping with the Maundy Thursday or Easter Vigil services. Come learn more or email Mo. Storm if you're interested.
OUTREACH COMMITTEE MEETING THIS SUNDAY FEBRUARY 28 The outreach committee will meet on Sunday February 28 after the 10 am service, and is always looking for new members or participants. Even if you can only stop by one meeting, your input is welcome and appreciated!
SUNDAY SCHOOL LENTEN PROJECT The Sunday School kids have started their annual Lenten fundraising project to buy a sheep, goat, pig or flock of chickens for a family in a developing country through Episcopal Relief and Development... and you can help them! Bring spare change from home to church on Sunday. Further instructions will be available in the pews throughout Lent.
THURSDAY LUNCHTIME BIBLE STUDY ON SUNDAY'S READINGS Drop in when you can at noon every Thursday for a short service of noonday prayer followed by 45 minutes of Bible study and discussion on the texts for the coming Sunday! This is a totally casual, no pressure, come-as-you-can sort of thing. Hope to see you there! Runs noon-1 pm.
FINANCE MEETING NEXT WEDNESDAY MARCH 2 AT 7 PM The finance committee oversees our annual budget, monthly expenses, and keeps an eye on the overall financial picture present and future.
