PLEDGE PROGRESS FOR 2017
A huge thank you to everyone who has handed in pledge cards. So far, we have 44 pledge cards totaling $95,314.00 toward our goal of $134,000.00. You can put your card in the plate any time before the end of the year (the sooner the better for budgeting purposes). Thank you for your support! Pledge cards were included in your stewardship yearbook & directories. If by any chance you want to pledge and did not get a pledge card they are now available in the back of the church OR you can simply email Dana or Fr. Sipple the amount you would like to pledge.
2017 PLEDGE ENVELOPES NOW AVAILABLE
Pledge envelopes for non-electronic givers are now in the back of the church for pick-up.
CHRISTMAS ALTAR FLOWERS
Envelopes for altar flower donations for the Christmas Eve services will be available in the back of the church starting this Sunday. You can donate any amount in memory of or thanksgiving for someone you love. Names will be printed in the Christmas Eve bulletins.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES ARE AT 4, 6 & 10 PM
The 4 & 6 pm services include a children's homily, choir, congregational singing, and Holy Communion, and the 10 pm is a quieter service with congregational singing, an adult homily and Holy Communion. Services last about an hour.
CHRISTMAS ANGELS
For the fifth year, St. Nick's will run a Christmas Angels program with Mid-Hudson Love In the Name of Christ (LOVE Inc.) LOVE Inc. volunteers (including our parishioners) will compile lists of children from local client families in need. St. Nick's families that wish to help will purchase gifts for these children. The recipient children are all located in Dutchess County and are part of families ranging in size from single child to multiple siblings. To participate, you can obtain your recipient list from Debbie Evans ([email protected]), Maria Wainwright ([email protected]) or Paul Curran ([email protected]). If you will be away this Sunday but want to participate please contact them via email. Gifts will need to wrapped and returned to the church by December 18th in order to be delivered to the children in time for Christmas.
NEWBURGH CHORALE
Our Interim Pastor, Peter Sipple, conducts the Newburgh Chorale, a community chorus. Accompanied by a chamber orchestra, the group will perform a concert of French-inspired music this Sunday, December 11, 4 p.m. at St. George's Episcopal Church. 105 Grand Street in Newburgh. The major work is the Midnight Mass for Christmas of Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1634-1704), a delightful setting of the Latin Mass using then-popular Christmas carols. Following the Mass, the group will perform other familiar carols with French melodies. No tickets required; a voluntary offering is taken. Peter hopes some members of St. Nick's will be free to attend!
SUNDAY SCHOOL AND NURSERY CARE
There will be no Sunday School this Sunday for Lessons and Carols. We are happy to have the children upstairs to participate in this service with us. Parents with little ones, please mark your calendars. There will be no nursery care on December 18th and 25th.
COFFEE HOUR
