NEXT PROPERTY COMMITTEE is this Tuesday August 9th at 7pm and will meet in the upstairs worship space. There is lots to talk about with all the ongoing changes happening here at St. Nick's. HAITI READ-A-THON UPDATE We are mid way through our summer reading fundraiser that will raise money for the children of Haiti and it's time to mark your progress. Check out the Read-a-thon board in the undercroft to post some fun stickers for every book you have read. The closing ceremony for this fundraiser will be on September 11th, at Zion Church in Wappingers, after the 10am service. Happy reading!!
HELPING THOSE WITH LESS, LOVE Inc. Let's not forget that we are signed up for August to help Love Inc. stock their shelves with personal care products to support clients in need. Here is the list of the most requested items: laundry detergent, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, tissues and bath soap. Items can be placed in the baskets at the back of the church.
8th ANNUAL SCrAbbLe BLITZ TOURNAMENT Come out and have fun while helping to support Mid-Hudson Love INC. Games, raffles, hor d'oeuvres, desserts! This event will be held on Thursday, October 13th from 6:30-9:30. It is a ways out but requires pre-registration and space is limited. For more information go to www.midhudsonloveinc.org or call Ruth at (845 462-0163)
SEARCH COMMITTEE We are still excepting applications from anyone that would like to be part of our search for a new rector. If you are interested in serving on this committee please fill out the form provided HERE and return it to [email protected], Stacey Mesler, any vestry member or place it in a green envelope and drop it in the plate. If you have any questions you can contact Paul Curran at (914 844 0894).
PASTORAL CARE During the transition period the vestry has appointed "pastoral care liaisons" whom you may call if you need to speak to a priest for any reason at any time. These parish members will find a local priest to attend to your need. The liaisons and contact information are Liz Pavelka (297 4907), Polly Myhrum (297 5681), Rachel VanDerStuyf (896 2137), Melanie Hexel (297 3114), or Paul Curran (914 844 0894).
