FAITH BUILD - HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
St Nicholas New Hamburg and our fellow congregants in Dutchess County have collaborated with Habitat Dutchess and Thrivent Financial to support a Faith Build in the Village of Wappingers.  St. Nick has ambassadors who communicate between our church and Habitat Dutchess, our Outreach Committee has made a monetary donation of $1,000 to the build and we actively lift the project in prayer on Sundays in our Prayers for the People.   We can help in so many other ways too! Please follow this link to the website to sign up to volunteer or just read about the project.  http://habitatdutchess.org/portfolio/faith-build-2019/

ZION FOOD PANTRY NEEDS DONATIONS Help your neighbor in need! It’s as easy as buying an extra box of cereal, peanut butter etc. while you’re already at the store. Bring your donations anytime during the week or to church on Sunday.

SAVE THE DATE: For the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Mtr. Leigh's ordination to the priesthood, which will be on 8/25. We will have one service that Sunday at 10am.

Where is Ol' Flat Nick?
Flat Nick is still hangin' around in the Pacific. Here he is with Liz Pavelka visiting the lava fields in Maui :) HOW DOES IT WORK? Just pick up one of the Ol' Flat Nicks from church and bring him along for your vacation, day trip or even an event and  take a picture with him. Then, send us your photo so we can post it in our newsletter and keep up with you. Or upload to your own social media platforms with the hashtag #olflatnick. We can't wait to see where our patron lands this summer!
Don't forget to drop Flat Nick back in the narthex for another family to take him along .

SUMMER READ-A-THON
If you missed Mtr. Leigh's 6/2 sermon about the Summer Read-a-thon, never fear - you can still participate. We invite adults and children to start reading this Summer to benefit Friends of Darbonne. Our goal as a church is to raise $1500, which will sponsor 5 children for one year as their tuition to the Holy Spirit School. It's easy to do! Grab a yellow brochure and start reading. Track the books you read, and designate a dollar amount for each book or 50 page increment. Adults can sponsor themselves. Children should ask most any adult in the parish to be their sponsor. More information is in the yellow brochure. Many thanks to our Outreach Committee for their help in organizing the Read-a-thon year after year.

NURSERY AVAILABLE During the summer months at the 10am service. Our nursery worker, Kim Steuber, will be downstairs at 9:30a in our "pop up" nursery for care during the 10am service.

SUMMER PLANS AND FINANCIAL COMMITMENTS TO ST. NICK'S
As you begin to make your summer travel plans, we ask you to be faithful to your financial commitments to St. Nick's, especially as attendance fluctuates significantly during the summer months. We are grateful for your continued support of our parish and look forward to seeing you when you are here.

SIGN UP FOR ALTAR FLOWERS ANY SUNDAY Did you know you can sign up to have the altar guild buy flowers in memory of or in thanksgiving for a loved one? Just sign up on the poster on the Sacristy door and we will make sure your memorial or thanksgiving is observed on the appropriate day. Suggested donation is $25, to be put in the plate (memo line “flower memorial/thanksgiving”).

AA GROUP MEETINGS Are held in St. Nick's undercroft every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7:30pm.
