INTERIM PASTOR A welcome back to the Rev. Peter Sipple who will serve as interim pastor until a new rector join's St. Nick's. Peter officiated here last spring and is happy to be back worshipping with and serving as pastor the people of St. Nick's.
ANNUAL WELCOME BACK PICNIC: CHANGE OF DATE This event, originally scheduled for the following week, will take place at the Freemans' on Sunday, September 18. Please make this change on you calendar, and thank you to Joan and Greg for hosting us again this year!
ORGAN PRESENTATION On September 11th our organist, Dan Fannon, will be giving a presentation after 10am service for anyone interested in learning about the new organ.
The "EVERYTHING ROTA" schedule through November is HERE. Anyone who would like to change their availability can contact Dana in the office or just shoot her a quick email to [email protected].
READ-A-THON: CLOSING CEREMONY By the looks of the progress board our children have been doing a great job reading this summer. Keep up the good work kids! The closing ceremony for this fundraiser will be on September 11th, at Zion Church in Wappingers, after the 10am service.
PERSONAL CARE PANTRY, LOVE Inc. Thank you to everyone who has donated items to this wonderful organization that helps people in need. This is the last week to help them stock their shelves. Remember you can always bring items with you to church on Sunday or drop them off any other time. Here is the list of the most requested items: laundry detergent, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, tissues and bath soap.
8th ANNUAL SCrAbbLe BLITZ TOURNAMENT Come out and have fun while helping to support Mid-Hudson Love INC. Games, raffles, hor d'oeuvres, desserts! This event will be held on Thursday, October 13th from 6:30-9:30. It is a ways out but requires pre-registration and space is limited. For more information go to www.midhudsonloveinc.org or call Ruth at (845 462-0163)
PASTORAL MINISTRY If you have concern for yourself, a family member or friend, please contact the Interim Pastor, The Rev. Peter Sipple at (534 2864) or email [email protected]. During the interim period, five members of the parish will serve as pastoral liaisons between members of the parish and the interim pastor. You may wish to speak with one of them as well. They are, Liz Pavelka (297 4907), Polly Myhrum (297 5681), Rachel VanDerStuyf (896 2137), Melanie Hexel (297 3114), or Paul Curran (914 844 0894).
