NEXT SUNDAY For those who haven't already heard. I am pleased to announce that Reverend Peter Sipple has agreed along with the Diocese to serve as Interim Pastor until a permenant rector is found. He will begin ofiiciating Sunday services here with us next week August 21st. Thank you Peter, we are pleased to have you here with us at St. Nick's.
SEARCH COMMITTEE Thank you to everyone that volunteered to be part of the Search Committee. The following parishioners have been selected to serve of this committee. SAVE THE DATE: PICNIC AT THE FREEMAN'S On September 25th Our annual welcome back picnic will be at the Freeman's located around the corner from the church. We will be taking directory pics for new members and anyone else that would like to update their own. Don’t miss it!
PERSONAL CARE PANTRY, LOVE Inc. This is the last couple weeks to help Love Inc. stock their shelves with personal care products to support clients in need. Remember you can always bring items with you to church on Sunday or drop them off any other time. Here is the list of the most requested items: laundry detergent, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, tissues and bath soap.
HAITI READ-A-THON UPDATE We are mid way through our summer reading fundraiser that will raise money for the children of Haiti. Don't forget to mark your progress on the board!! The closing ceremony for this fundraiser will be on September 11th, at Zion Church in Wappingers, after the 10am service. Happy reading!!
8th ANNUAL SCrAbbLe BLITZ TOURNAMENT Come out and have fun while helping to support Mid-Hudson Love INC. Games, raffles, hor d'oeuvres, desserts! This event will be held on Thursday, October 13th from 6:30-9:30. It is a ways out but requires pre-registration and space is limited. PASTORAL CARE until further notice please continue to contact the appointed Pastoral Care Liaisons in the case of an emergency or for anyone in need of a priest. These parish members will find a local priest to attend to your need.
