THANK YOU to the Rev. Derek Darves-Bornoz, who is filling in for Astrid during her sabbatical.  Mo. Storm will be back in the office on August 11, and in the meantime, remember that Cara is in the office Mondays and Thursdays, 9 am - 1 pm.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL STARTS THIS COMING MONDAY!!  Vacation bible school is AUGUST 11-15, and our theme is Five Stories from Luke's Gospel, geared toward ages 4-12. You can STILL sign up! Just show up on Monday and we will register you then and there.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL SUNDAY + PARISH COOK-OUT Don't miss Vacation Bible School Sunday on AUGUST 17, a festive service of plays and songs performed by the Vacation Bible school students. This year, following the service, we will have a parish cook-out in the side yard. You can sign up to bring something (or cook the meat) in the undercroft or HERE ONLINE.

HELP US THROUGH THE SUMMER: REMEMBER YOUR PLEDGES! Because so many of us travel during the summer, we tend to have a tough time making ends meet during these months. If you can, please help us by sending in pledges through the mail. (Remember, too, there's an auto-pay process that you can sign up for any time. That service is a huge help to our budget.) Pardon for having to ask this, but we want to keep our little parish afloat!

THE HAITI READ-A-THON is in its last month! Kids, some dates to remember: August 22 is the last reading day. On August 24 & 31, we will collect and hand in our donations, and on September 7 (after church) we will have a party at nearby Zion Church.  Stay tuned for more info.

COFFEE HOUR HOSTS NEEDED for our summer Sundays (sign up here or at the church). Remember, "keep it simple" is our summer motto (and that the coffee is already made for you).

THANK YOU to everyone who gave so generously to the personal care pantry last month!

SILENT AUCTION TICKETS Available now! $35 per person. See Jen U., Mary H. or Joe H. for tickets.  It will take place October 4th from 6-9 pm at Longabardi's Restaurant.

LOOKING AHEAD: NEWCOMER CLASS SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 20  New(ish) to St. Nick's and interested in learning more about us? Save the date for our next newcomer class!

READER/SERVER/ALTAR/COUNTER ROTA The summer rota is available HERE. Remember this is the first pass at it, and we are happy to make changes as needed. Just email Cara.
