Hello Parishioners - thanks to those who responded to my plea to come to convention! I'm happy to say we will now have a respectable-sized group representing St. Nick's on Saturday, including: our two wardens, Fred Jackson, Paul Bruening, Melanie Hexel, Eileen Doherty, Sue Blodgett, Linda Wood, Inigo & Andrew, Leeann Haubrich, Liz Pavelka. If you can still make it, let me know and I'll send you the details. We'd especially like some more kids to offer the gifts at the offertory, so parents, let me know if you happen to be free that day.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN SURVEYS  were due last week, and many many thanks to all who participated. Results will be tallied and delivered to us in the new year.

THANK YOU TO FATHER JACKSON, who will be our guest preacher this Sunday. He and Mo. Storm will jointly officiate the service.

STILL HAVE YOUR  "THANKSGIVING COINS" ?   We should have lots more of those hanging on the walls in the church, so bring yours (or write one from the extra pile in the back of the church) this Sunday! We will be reading these throughout the year during the "thanksgiving" section of the prayers of the people. Listen for more at announcements.

MOTHER MAGDALENE'S INSTALLATION AT ZION THIS SUNDAY Free at 4 pm this Sunday? Then stop by Zion for a beautiful installation service. Mother Magdalene will be installed as "rector" (previously "priest-in-charge/Vicar") of Zion. All welcome. Mother Storm and Gregory Citarella, our former organist, will also be taking part in the service.

CHILI FEST AND CRAFT FAIR NOVEMBER 22 It's time to sign up to bring chili to our popular annual chili-fest and craft fair fundraiser! Sign up sheets are in the back of the church and the undercroft. You can also bring baked goods, especially pies, our biggest seller. For more information, contact the event's coordinators, Mary Hornbeck at grammiehornbeck@gmail.com or Evelyn Conners at evelyn.conners@gmail.com. Meantime, save the date and plan to be there!

NEW COFFEE HOUR SIGN-UP SHEET The sign-up sheet for coffee hours through December 21 is HERE, and you can also sign up in the undercroft. The coffee is already made for you - all you have to do is bring some snacks (and you can keep it simple as you like).

CHOIR REHEARSALS FOR ADVENT & CHRISTMAS SERVICES Rehearsals resume thisSunday. The choir will sing at the Advent service of Lessons and Carols on December 14th during our regular service time, and then again for the Christmas eve service at 5 pm.  We enjoy having new voices join us, so should you be interested in singing for this season, please speak with Susan, our organist, after church, or email her at susanmacnish@yahoo.com.

WE FOUND A NEW ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT! Thank you for spreading the word. We had a lot of interest in our admin position, and a lot of good candidates. And the "winner" is ... Dana Rowinski, who will begin work with us on December 1. Her bio will be published in early December, so stay tuned for more!

LOOKING FOR FINANCE COMMITTEE MEMBERS We are still looking for more finance committee members, as well as a treasurer to work with our bookkeeper and finance committee. The treasurer reviews the monthly finance reports, makes recommendations to the vestry along with the finance committee, and, as needed, interacts with the priest and bookkeeper to ensure our accounting procedures and budget are on track. It's a reasonable commitment, and if you simply want to find out more about it, please contact Astrid or Paul Curran (paul.curran@bqenergy.com).
