HELLO PARENTS AND TEACHERS!
THIS SUNDAY the kids will finish their beautiful Advent wreaths while learning about the Advent season and its importance in the Christian year. Thank you, Maria, for overseeing this. Here's a peek of the wreaths they're making. If you can donate to offset some of the cost of the wreaths, that would be great (and if not, that's OK - every child gets to make a wreath. Families with several kids can give what you think is reasonable and doable. Suggested donation is $15/wreath - but again, please don't let that deter anyone!
FEAST OF ST. NICHOLAS DECEMBER 6
Remember, next Sunday is the Feast of St. Nick, when St. Nick himself visits our little parish! Come teach your kids all about the real St. Nicholas, bishop of Myra, patron saint of children, sailors, maidens without dowries, and more!
THIS WEEK'S TEACHERS

Our regular lessons will resume in December.
"CONNECT" EPISCOPAL YOUTH GROUP FOR TEENS - MEETING THIS SUNDAY NOVEMBER 29
The most recent CONNECT group in October was another success, with 15 kids from Grace Church Millbrook and St. Paul's POK in attendance. St. Nick's has been invited to be a participating parish, so let me know if there are any kids 14-18 interested. If so, I will try to be there as one of the leaders that week, so that your child knows someone there.
MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR TEENAGERS THROUGH THE NATIONAL EPISCOPAL CHURCH: 2016 YOUTH TRIP TO THE UN and EPISCOPAL SERVICE CORPS
The National Episcopal Church and wider Anglican Communion offer LOADS of opportunities for kids to get involved with local and international efforts. One is the upcoming Leadership Forum, open to kids from all over the country. Click HERE for the flyer and contact me (Astrid) if you'd like an application. Also, the Episcopal Service Corps (sort of like the Peace Corps) offers a variety of ways for kids to spend time abroad. HERE is information about that. Applications are now being accepted, so contact me if you have more questions.
