Hi Parents & Teachers - A big thanks to Rachel and Maria for stepping in to teach last Sunday. This Sunday the kids will continue their lessons on the "Post-Resurrection Appearances," with the story of Jesus making breakfast (*fish* for breakfast!) for the disciples.
Also, by way of local news you will want to know: "The tenth annual Ree Play Sale is this week. It is a GIANT community sale of baby and children's clothes, toys, and furniture, and more. All proceeds benefit children's programming in Beacon. We will have amazing deals, so come and stock up on clothes and gear for the kids. Date: May 2 & 3, 9 am - 1 pm, May 4, 10 am - 1 pm. Location: University Settlement Theatre, 724 Wolcott Ave, Beacon NY 12508"
News of another worthy cause/event just came in from our diocese: the Diocese of New York's Second Annual Civil Rights Pilgrimage for high schoolers. Here's the flyer, and notice that the price per student is only $150. (The rest, I believe, is funded by the diocese.) If a high schooler you know might be interested, please talk to me and we'll see if we can get a small group together.
Finally, remember that the Episcopal Church runs a very good summer camp, Incarnation Camp, in Ivoryton Connecticut. Stay tuned for the dates of our diocesan week at the camp, when our diocese partially sponsors students to attend (it's usually in August).
This Sunday's Teachers: Adam and Michelle
This Sunday's Nursery Volunteer: Christine
Have a good weekend, and see you Sunday!
