Hi Parents & Teachers - this Sunday is PALM SUNDAY, which is the official start of Holy Week. The kids will learn a bit more about the day and the upcoming week, and - as in years past - will make palm crosses.
Other news: We will be continuing our Lenten outreach project one more Sunday. We've already reached our goal, and are very close to being able to support a second family. At the beginning of this week's class, the kids will discuss what they are going to buy with the money they raised, which will be announced to the parish on Easter Sunday.
The Children's Good Friday service is on Friday April 18, 10 - 11 am. This is an interactive service at which I walk them through the final events of Jesus' life, including the Last Supper, the Trial, the Garden of Gethsemane, and the Passion. For ages 4-12, with the older ones helping. Spread the word and invite friends!
And finally, the Children's Easter Egg Hunt is at 11 am on April 20, right after the Easter service. Thank you to Katie, Janine, Christine and Rachel for helping organize this!
