Hi Parents & Teachers - Fall is here, and I hope everyone's adjusting well!
Sunday school resumes this weekend, and the kids will be starting a 12-week unit on stories from the Old Testament (followed by 12 lessons from the New Testament in the winter/spring). The curriculum this year, as last year, will be a combination of the "Holy Moly" series from Augsburg Fortress Press (Lutheran) and related resources the teachers and I find online. Looking forward to another good year!
Read-a-thon Final Week for Donations The Readathon donations and materials can STILL be handed in this Sunday, Sept 7. If your child participated, be sure to email your sponsors (if you haven't already) asking them to bring their donation to church Sunday (or send it by mail to the church if that's easier, making sure their name and the reader's name is on the check or envelope).
Read-a-thon Recognition Sunday September 7 at Zion Church, 11:30 am Please try to make it just over a week to our brief ice cream and recognition party at Zion Church in Wappingers Falls. Cathlyn Cantone should have sent you information about that separately, or you can listen for more info in church (or next week's email). NOTE: Sponsors are invited, so please make sure your sponsors know that.
Nursery Resumes This Sunday Caitlin, our nursery coordinator, is always looking for more help in the nursery. Please email her directly if you're able to help out. She can be reached at [email protected].
Finally, there is a Sunday School teacher meeting/check-in after the 10 am service on September 28. Teachers, please try to hang around that day if you can.
