26th Sunday after Pentecost
Hello parents & teachers! In Sunday School this week the children will be continuing their Sunday School lessons with teachers Maria and Alex. This week's lesson is titled:
"The Sower"
"The Sower," (also known as "The Parable of the Sower" or "The Parable of the Soils") is a New Testament story based on Matthew 13:3-9 and Matthew 13:18-23. In the story, a sower sows seed on the path (way side), on rocky ground and among thorns, and it is lost; but when it falls on good earth it grows, yielding thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold. The children will learn that God's good things grow best when we take good care of them. To read more about this story, please see this link.
Thanksgiving Cards of Encouragement: Coming up on Sunday, November 20th, during Sunday School, the children will be making cards of hope and encouragement that will be given to the families picking up Thanksgiving baskets of food from our friends at the Zion Food Pantry. Please join us!
Family Advent Wreath-Making Coffee Hour: During coffee hour after the 10am service on Sunday, November 27th, on The First Sunday of Advent, we will have a special Advent Wreath-making session for all of our St. Nick's members and families. All wreath supplies will be provided for you, and there will be delicious cider donuts, hot cider, and of course, coffee provided. Any questions, please feel free to talk to Maria Wainwright, Debbie Evans or Jennifer Klein. We hope to see you there!
Have a great weekend!
