Hi parents and teachers - this Sunday the kids move on to the story of Jacob and Esau, in which Esau sells his whole birthright for a bowl of soup. It's a great story, and always fascinated me as a kid and more so as a grown-up. The above illustration is from R. Crumb's illustration of the book of Genesis, something I thought you'd all enjoy. Don't worry: we will NOT be showing the kids the Crumb drawings, and if you're familiar with Crumb, you'll know why!
