VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL PLAY - SUNDAY AUGUST 2 Finally, remember our annual play, written by our very own Jack Devine, and always a big treat of the year! The play takes place during the 10 am service.
MEET OUR NEW NURSERY WORKER - THIS SUNDAY! Good news! We have hired a new nursery worker, Lauren Lewis, who has lots of sitting experience and loves to work with kids. She comes highly recommended by some of our very own parishioners, and she is very excited to get to know our little ones and their parents. Lauren will start with us THIS SUNDAY July 26. She will be here each Sunday to work with the 0-3 year-olds, and is also in charge of overseeing the parent volunteer schedule. Welcome Lauren!
HOW TO PITCH IN FOR THE SUNDAY SITTERS Thanks to those who offered to throw in a $20 for the sitter. Here's how we'll do this: on Sunday, just put a check in the plate with "sitter" in the memo line. OR you can put a $20 in an envelope and write "sitter" on the outside. The counters will make sure it gets accounted for properly.
AND DON'T FORGET ... THE DARBONNE READ-A-THON IS LOOKING FOR MORE PARTICIPANTS Your child can STILL sign up to help raise money for kids at the Episcopal school in Darbonne, Haiti, just by doing something they're already doing - reading! Please email me OR Dana if you'd like to receive the forms electronically. Basically, parents, family and friends sponsor a child, contributing a small monetary amount for each book your child reads throughout the summer. That money is then collected in mid-August and sent along to the school kids in Haiti.
