HELLO PARENTS AND TEACHERS! This Sunday is the Feast of the Presentation of the baby Jesus in the Temple, also known as Candlemas, the day we bless all the candles in the church (and also the last day that's still linked to Christmas).

This Sunday the kids will start the service upstairs for the procession of candles (flameless candles for the kids), and then immediately proceed downstairs to Sunday school - I'll have ample reminders for you to bring them upstairs first.

Also, don't forget our annual meeting - and childcare! The childcare will last until 1 pm, but annual meeting business should be over by 12:30. Please think about attending; it's a great way to meet people and get familiar with how our church runs. Have a good weekend, and see you Sunday! -Astrid

THIS SUNDAY'S TEACHERS

THIS WEEK'S LESSON
For anyone interested, the link to this week's lesson is here (NOTE: it's still in progress as of Thurs afternoon, but check back Friday).

ANNUAL MEETING THIS SUNDAY JANUARY 31 - CHILDCARE AND LUNCH AVAILABLE!
Our annual meeting is this weekend, and we will have professional childcare in the undercroft, with pizza and a movie! Please consider sticking around. Adults get to go down to the Yacht Club and eat a yummy lunch while hearing lots of good (but concise) info on our parish. Meeting should be done by 12:30, childcare goes until 1 pm.

SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER FEB 10 - SIGN UP YOUR KIDS TO HELP SERVE! Don't miss your once chance a year to eat pancakes for supper - because the Church tells you to! Shrove (or "fat") Tuesday is the name we give the day before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent. This year, I will make sure the Sunday school lesson that week explains what this is to the kids. Please save the date - AND sign up your child to be a server that evening. The kids LOVE doing this, and it's a huge help. Contact Mo. Storm if you have any questions.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER SCHEDULE
